Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain water mains according to specifications
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and perform necessary repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Operate equipment such as backhoes, trenchers, and pipe cutters
- Respond to emergency calls for water main repairs and other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Proven experience working with water mains or similar infrastructure
- Knowledge of water main installation and repair techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Must obtain class "E" Drinking Water Treatment license within one year of hire date
- Must pass drug screening

Primary Responsibilities
As a Police Officer with the Town of Jackson, you will:
- Patrol the municipality to protect life and property.
- Respond to calls for service dispatched by communications personnel.
- Enforce South Carolina laws and Town ordinances.
- Conduct traffic enforcement and investigate traffic collisions.
- Prepare detailed incident and investigative reports.
- Investigate criminal activity as assigned.
- Maintain required certifications through ongoing training with the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy (SCCJA).
- Foster positive relationships with the community through professional and courteous public service.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Be authorized to work in the United States.
- Be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position.
- Currently possess a South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy (SCCJA) Class One Law Enforcement Officer Certification.
